Confessions of a Copywriter & Content Creator

No one, and I mean, NO ONE is more guilty

of not keeping up with their blog than

this gal right here.

The irony is not lost on me. The woman who crafts an upwards of 10-12 blogs a month for other clients and requested online publications totally sucks at keeping up with her own blog.

I don't share that to brag. I share that in humility. I share that in a VERY human way.

Not only do I not keep up my blog, BUT I actually offer a VERY successful Blog Content Brainstorming Session which has been met with rave reviews. I created a system that within 60 minutes, BAM! -- 8 weeks worth of topic content created.

Ask me if I've used my own blog brainstorm system? Go ahead...ask me. I'll wait here.

Oh I am sorry did you ask me something? 🤷‍♀️

-->You get the picture. And it isn't one I'm painting with words.

The truth is, when you are FINALLY busy supporting others in delivering on their mission messaging, it is VERY difficult to sit down and cultivate your own messaging...because in a way, my messaging becomes lost in the love I have for weaving words for others. I give voices to those that can't find their's. I give structure, format, routine to those that love to run rogue.

And yet, I'm the biggest rogue runner of them all when it comes to my own scheduled blog content. So what's the solution?

Accountability to my audience. I think that's the only thing that will keep me dedicated because writing words for myself just doesn't do it anymore. I write with love and abandon for those I support, and I need to turn that same dedicated passion toward the words I lay down on my blog.

So here are those words, to you, my faithful readers that are kind enough to take a moment and say "hey, she actually wrote one THIS CENTURY!". 🤓

Happily, since y'all made the effort to read this far through my guilt infused ramblings, here is a lovely little graphic with some basic blogging guidelines for formatting your blogs to increase readability.

And yes, you will note...this blog did not follow all of these guidelines...because again, who would I be as your faithful Rock Your Brand copywriter and content creator without sweet, sweet IRONY!
